Yes, it is true.  I haven't done a THING since, well, I can't remember!  I think it was at least a year ago since I did anything worthwhile.  So I guess I should get busy making some art before my skills get a little weak. I'm finding more and more that I love anthro art.  This is something I'd like to work on.  I have some great character ideas.  The dane in my first piece is a character I'd like to enhance and bring to life.  Danes rule. -Melissa

I'm working on an anthro piece currently that I started a few months ago.  It was inspired by a song I heard on the radio. :)  I can't tell you what song though or that would ruin the suprise! This is my first anthro piece.  There is a lot of firsts in this one actually.  I've never drawn an animal that resembled a human as much as this, but it has a cartoon look, not a 'real' look. I've never drawn something that required me to pay so much attention to human anatomy (breasts, abdominal muscles, muscles in general, etc.).  I've only done head studies as far as the human form goes. I know its not going to be perfect, but I'm so excited! :P

  A long time since I made anything! :)  I'm working on my first anthro piece now.  Its in rough form at the moment, going to try coloring it in photoshop and in colored pencils when I work out all the kinks.  I'm having problems with human anatomy.  I do ok with the face on things, until I get to arms and legs then it falls apart, ack!  I guess my long sabbatical without doing any art has taken its toll.  I haven't made anything new since May of 2004.  Hoping to do some new pastels again soon, and waiting to get some gouache wash to play around with.  I hope to have something new to show soon!
